Title of the Project

Project on Collection and Treatment Schemes for E-waste

Summary

China has already become the country which has the most electronic and electrical product (e-product) consumers, the problems of the obsolete and used e-product (e-waste) has stimulated the attention from various circles of society day by day too.

This project intends to find out one suitable operation system for the collection and treatment of e-waste on the urban level. it will be done that the collecting and propaganda activity for e-waste, establishing the partnership with the various circles of society and relevant groups, organizing various circles of society participate in e-waste recovery, planning to establish the research and development centre of treatment technology for e-waste, researching and developing of treatment technology for PCB and battery, and constructing the pilot project of e-waste treatment.

The experience of collecting and transporting management accumulated by this pilot project should be extended and applied in other cities, so as to promote the environmentally sound management of the e-waste in China.

Key Activities

1) Put forward plan on the collecting e-waste in the city
- Survey and study experience of collecting e-waste in the National City
- Investigate station of collection and treatment of e-waste in the demonstration city;
- Setting store and workshop;
- Authorize and print disseminate handbook; design and customize the e-waste recycling case and
other facility;
- Propose in demonstration city to recycling e-waste;
- To organize the recruitment and training personnel of collecting and repairing e-waste;
- Installation of recycling cans for e-waste in demonstration city;
- Collection and transportation of e-waste in recycling cans
- Pretreatment of obsolete or used e-product;
- To organize the donation of used e-product and the propaganda;
 

2) Implementation of pilot project of e-waste treatment
- Establishment of research and development base on e-waste treatment;
- To make the laboratory research on e-waste treatment
- Construction and operation of the pilot project on e-waste treatment;
- Seminar on collection and treatment of e-waste in national city level;
 

3) Schemes of transfer and transportation for e-waste
- Classification and packaging of obsolete or used e-product;
- Transportation of e-waste;
